Preschool Yoga Program

At the APJCC Preschool, our curriculum goes beyond standard motor development to embrace holistic movement and mindfulness. We believe that nurturing the whole child means offering experiences that support both physical growth and emotional well-being. One of the ways we do this is through our weekly Yoga enrichment sessions.

Led by APJCC Los Gatos Yoga Instructor Judy Levin, these sessions are more than just stretches and poses. Judy invites the children on an imaginative journey, weaving story, movement, and guided meditation into each class. Through playful narratives and child-friendly poses, students explore themes of balance, strength, and self-awareness.

This weekly practice offers a welcome pause in the children’s busy and active preschool day. Yoga helps them connect with their breath, slow down, and experience a sense of calm. Over time, this builds an early foundation of mindfulness and mind-body connection, skills that support focus, emotional regulation, and resilience far beyond the classroom.
